What are ART Core / Clear Shell Dice?

ART Core Dice are layered art dice sets made using a clear outer resin shell that encases a detailed internal design. This construction style is often referred to as “layered” or “clear shell” dice, but we felt those terms didn’t fully reflect the craftsmanship and visual depth of these sets. The name ART Core better represents what they are: artwork suspended at the core of a playable dice set.

Art, frozen in time

Each ART Core dice set is designed to showcase internal artwork with depth, contrast, and clarity, creating a three-dimensional effect within the dice. The layered resin process allows intricate designs to remain permanently preserved inside the dice, while maintaining balance and readability during play.

Handmade and built to last

All ART Core Dice are handmade. Each die is hand-poured into a mould, removed and cleaned by hand, then carefully sanded, inked, and polished. This process ensures consistent quality and finish across every 7-piece polyhedral dice set. Made from durable resin, these dice are designed for regular tabletop use and long-term durability.

Designed for play, chosen for style

Whether you’re building a character aesthetic or simply appreciate layered art dice, this collection offers a wide range of colours and designs to suit different themes and tastes. Every ART Core dice set follows the standard 7-piece polyhedral format used in Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop roleplaying games, making them as practical as they are visually striking.
